New Possession Flat Interior Design Checklist — Pune Edition

Got the keys and now feeling overwhelmed? Here is a 12-week checklist most Pune families follow — from possession day to moving in.

Week 1 — Builder handover checks

Test every switch, tap, flush, door lock. Take photos of any snag. Do NOT sign the possession letter until the builder has closed critical snags.

Week 2 — Get 3 designer quotes

Meet at least 3 designers. Have them come to your flat, not you to their office.

Week 3–4 — Finalise design and pay 30% advance

Never pay more than 30% upfront. Rest should be milestone-linked.

Week 5–10 — Execution

Expect weekly photo updates. Visit site at least once every 10 days.

Week 11 — Handover walkthrough

Do a thorough walkthrough, prepare a snag list, hold back 5% final payment until snags are closed.
